Teen Lifeline’s signature fundraising event, Connections of Hope: An Evening to Celebrate Arizona’s Youth, honored and appreciated the generosity of the local community.
Connections of Hope saw 400 incredible people gather at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia for an evening filled with good food, entertainment, and philanthropy that tugged at our heart strings. From the low-key silent auction to the upbeat live auction and fund-a-need section, spirited bidders supported the lifesaving work of Teen Lifeline.
Together, we raised $575,000 in an effort to provide a connection of hope to teens in need.
We extend our gratitude to our event co-chairs, Ms. Mandy Purcell and Ms. Irene Clary, who together made this evening a great success. We also honored Erik Olsson, CEO of Mobile Mini, with the Alfredo J. Molina Community Lifeline Award for his hard work and support in making a difference in the lives of children and families. We have so many wonderful supporters and we thank each and every one of you for contributing to this event.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our teen volunteers. We heard heart-felt speeches from two Peer Counselors who not only save lives on the hotline, but whose lives were also forever changed by becoming part of the Teen Lifeline family. We presented the Peer Counselor of the Year Award to Madeline Kleist, whose incredible volunteerism is making a difference in the lives of teens all across Arizona.
To keep spirits high, the evening was infused with music from talented teen musicians, opening up with Don’t Tell Mom and closing out the night with 3NATIONS. Guests were dancing in their chairs and even spilling into the aisles through a series of cover songs and originals. The evening was a true celebration of youth!
